Ministries - Women's Ministry

Foundation

“Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the Word of God.” (Titus 2:3-5)

Women's Ministry Focus

We believe scripture clearly states that women have a unique and important calling to be proactively pursuing the goal of becoming what God has called them to be as Godly examples, mentors, influencers, sisters, fellow-workers, wives and mothers. Our desire is to provide opportunities for women to grow in Godly truth and Godly relationships.

Godly Truth: We live in a society that defines truth in relative terms. We believe God has revealed absolute truth to us through His Word, the Bible. Through His Word we see that God created us for the purpose of living in right relationship with Him and each other. He made this possible through the sending of his Son who died on our behalf, through His resurrection from the dead, and through His life now with the Father. This miraculous act allows us to learn and grow in a personal relationship with Him, guided by the Holy Spirit, through the study of His Word. Women’s Ministry coordinates small groups called Grow Groups that use the S.O.A.P. method of studying God’s word. You can read about the S.O.A.P. method by click on the following link: www.soapstudy.com. Once a quarter all of the Grow Groups meet for Grow Get-Togethers where women have an opportunity to fellowship and to be challenged in a specific area of growth.

Godly Relationships: Life does a good job keeping us busy. The pressure to keep up can hinder women in developing meaningful relationships. This can result in a shallow, lonely existence that denies the reality that women need healthy, deep relationships with other women in order to grow into the role in which God has called them to live. The Women’s Ministry Grow Groups consist of 4-6 women per group that usually meet on a bi-weekly basis not only to discuss the study of God’s word but also to discuss personal issues pertaining to character, issues where women may be struggling, and areas where the Lord may be working or desiring to work as He draws each woman into closer relationship with Him.
